snitching is telling some revealing piece of information, usually compromising your associates, in order to get a reduced sentence or simply lenient treatment. that's what's snitching originally is. and it's morally wrong cause you took risks by getting involved and you're not willing to pay the price and face the consequences of your actions.

telling on someone who does fucked up things against you isn't really snitching, not the most manly thing to do but then again i understand him. we can discuss whether it's a pussy move or not but there's a difference between telling on someone who bullies you and dropping dime to the police on business you're not concerned with or business you once were a part of and now wish to get away from

naah, thats snitching in terms of street definition....these cats aint puttin in any work, so we aint speakin of them in those terms

so the original definition of snitch is simply to tell....but if we goin by street code, then yea, it's obviously a police informant.
