MLB Report: Doug Fister Traded To Washington Nationals

Washington Nationals Get:
*Doug Fister

Detroit Tigers Get (As of now this is still unconfirmed):
*Steve Lombardozzi
*Ian Krol
*Robbie Ray

This one came out of nowhere and honestly I'm trying to comprehend it. From what I've heard this basically clears up more money that the Tigers can use to resign Scherzer (supposedly) and Detroit thinks highly of Ian Krol who they think can be a good reliever in their piss poor bullpen. On the Nats side they can fill the void that Haren left (or never really filled until late in the season) and are done with the Lombardozzi project.

I always liked Fister. Trading him away for a bunch of prospects that didn't pan out outside of a reliever has probably been Jack Z's worse trade since coming here. Even he admitted that he kicks himself over it now. Nice pickup for the Nats.
