Like this old, injury-prone lineup will fare that much better?

The Yankees just added salary, not depth or actual talent. At least not enough talent that'll allow them to compete with the Rays or Red Sox or even Orioles.

I mean there's only three new additions, you still shitted on the other 6/9 in the lineup. & if you take away Ellsbury, McCann & Beltran, they're being replaced with Gardner, Wells & Austin Romine. So it would be the 5/9 you already shitted on replacing Phillips/Johnson with Cano, plus three more that would get negative reviews. So you'd have a legit reason to shit on 8/9's of the lineup.

I'd rather have three guys who can potentially produce their contracts worth for three seasons than watch Cano do it for $250 million for ten years & stop producing after three seasons.

Oh that's what you were arguing about? My bad, I thought you were talking about this team having a shot at competing in 2014.

I agree that in the long-term, McCann, Ellsbury and Beltran are better investments than Cano and the deal he got. That said however, that lineup is still not talented enough. It improved from the one last year (that's for sure), but it's not saying much when you consider how horrible the lineup last year was.

I mean, I do think we can compete with proper pitching & health.

But yeah, that's what I meant lol.
