It's not like the Lakers last won a title in 1956. And I wasn't comparing Lakers to Clippers. What you are saying is true this year, Clippers are having a better season. No problem with that. But I'll pay attention once the Clippers win a title.
Hey, I'm an Angel fan. And Dodger fans never cared about the Angels until 2002 when the Angels won. Now Dodger fans get on me for being an Angel fan and I can always shoot back with, at least my team won a title in this century. That gets Dodger fans even madder. But here is the thing, there will always be more Dodger fan, unless the Angels win 5 titles in the next 10 years. But just one title made Dodger fans take notice.
Right now, I am very "whatever" about the Clippers. I can careless. They covered the banners and I was a little annoyed. But overall, until the Clippers win one, you really have nothing to stand on. And as long as the Laker's last title is still in recent memory, Clipper fans have a HUGE uphill battle even getting people's attention.
