I'm almost 100% certain the only reason D'antoni still has a job with Lakers is because the Buss family actually WANTS to tank but are too embarrassed to admit this publicly. Thus they keep the coach who is guaranteed to give them a shitty record AND they get to save money without hiring a new coach (because even if D'antoni gets fired they still have to pay him).

Needless to say, D'antoni is a joke of a coach and Jim Buss should slap himself for hiring this man to begin with.

yeah, that dantoni hire was strictly jim buss, anyone who knows the lakers would know that.


that whole thing about jerry wanted showtime was a pathetic. im not sure how fabricated that was, but just a pathetic move by jim to save face.




we had Adelman, Sloan, PJ, Shaw all for hire, and we got MDA, just for some show of power. not to mention Rudy T, and mike Brown.
