It wasn't really about pedophilia, just an example for valid reasoning. Cause it's quite easy to do and at the same time clarifies that in principle both might be variations of sexual preferences but differ greatly in the most important part. One hurts others, the other not.
Hundreds of species show cases of homosexual behaviour. Surely not only since yesterday. Homosexuality in humans is known forever, too. But we all live. It's nice to know that your against homosexuality out of pure concern about humanity's continued existence but that's not gonna be a problem. Animal behaviorists even guess that a percentage of gay individuals in a population might help balancing the other males' agressiveness. That would make it even useful to a species' existence.
So what other reasons could there be?
