I can remember a lot of lower level material being put on single CD-R and up for sale for £10 per CD. Artists like Swoop G, K9, Mac Shawn, etc.

Funnily enough artists who had a bit more shine, or/and likelihood of having albums released went for higher prices - These included ones like Top Dogg for £30, Tha Realest for £40, Crooked I for £60 etc etc.. This was back in 2000, and these were only ever sold to a few from one source so they were priced a lot higher at that time in an attempt to gain more profit from them in the event that they may be released. I mean who would pay £10 for a Crooked I album on CD-R when they can pay £3 extra and get the official album with case and linear notes? Back then (which is hard to believe that it was like 14/15 years ago) everyone wanted physical CD's, and having artwork was a huge bonus

If i still had my old Lycos e-mail address, I'd be able to go and get the list. It was pretty large, at least 30 CD's on there. Some perhaps 6 or 7 tracks but others with full content
