I saw DJ Quik perform here in Sydney, Australia. The crowds are getting smaller since 2012 when I saw him for the first time. While there are young fans in attendance (very few), there's less of the older heads at these shows which is understandable.
Also saw Kendrick for his MR MORALE tour. Definitely a step up since his DAMN tour in terms of production. Quite pleased with the show overall but since he's a big draw, tickets are on the pricey side.
doggfather:
finally!
I tought i am the only one to go rap shows nowdays... :-\

So far 2023 -
- Kendrick Lamar for the Mr Morale and Big Steppers tour 8/10. He's doing stadium shows now but I remember his shows being more intimate. Still, great new album and concert. Creative, entertaining and Baby Keem keeps him inspired on stage
- Snoop Dogg for the I Wanna Thank Me Tour. 8/10. My first time seeing him and although he performed his non hip hop hits, it was a blast to see him finally. Hopefully not the last as he's getting old but definitely a memory I'll never forget.
- Cypress Hill/ Ice Cube. Cypress was 9/10 as they have all that experience of playing for different crowds. They definitely know how to put on a show and rock the crowd. On stage presence was crazy from B Real and Sen Dog. Live music instrumentation and DJ'ing combined kept the spirit of hip hop alive and well for all to enjoy.
Ice Cube was bittersweet, the sound was way too low which completely ruined the show overall. 6/10 only because Dub C was present as a hype man. If the sound was sorted, it would've been a great concert.
