i know u a lil slow, but lets try one last time...nba.com doesn't recognize NBL titles. Lakers, as a franchise, have 17 titles. 1 in the NBL, 1 in the BAA, and 15 in the NBA....u can say whatever u want and try to base shit off technicalities, but thats the reality of the situation.
also, relevancy in every era means a lot more than winning 11 out of 16 titles in one era back when there was only 8 teams...
lakers have won titles in every era and have never had dry spells like the celtics...more all-stars, hall-of-famers....were better in every aspect. so u can hang on to that 17>16 technicality all u want, but any1 livin in reality knows whats good.

The Lakers won an NBL title, which the NBA doesn't recognize. Just like the NBA doesn't recognize the ABA titles. Still, the Lakers have 17 titles, especially since they won the BBA (Later NBA) title the very next year after winning the NBL title. Also, prior to the merger the NBL did allow some black players to play, the BBA did not and 4 other teams besides the Lakers joined the BBA/NBL merged league, officially called the NBL. Too bad the NBA doesn't recognize that title. I think the Lakers should put it on the wall.

yea, the NBL was far more competitive than the BAA...it's all a technicality. the NBL and BAA merged to form the NBA, but since the owners of the BAA were the ones who officially bought out the NBL and not the other way around, they recognize BAA as the NBA and the NBL as a defunct league, despite the fact that more NBL teams were taken. It's a technicality, but in reality, we have 17 titles as a franchise.
