This is part 1 of My Exclusive Interview With Death Row Runner, 2nd Engineer, (eventually full-on engineer) Mr. Phil Brewster.
This is a pretty detailed interview. In full it runs about 70 mins. Phil was kind enough to record his end for our listening pleasure. Big thanks to Phil for that! Phil was kind enough to answer pretty much any question he could and I found this to be an entertaining and candid interview. Phil spent about a year at Death Row from Early April 1995 to March 1996. He is responsible for the 'Let's Get Ready To Rumble' Sample in the song, Ambitionz Az A Ridah. You also hear his engineering on such songs as How Do U Want It, I Aint Mad At Cha, 2 of Americas Most Wanted, & California Love.

This segment is dealing with a variety of topics.

Including:
Working At Sound Master Studios
Coming to Death Row via Larry (owner of Can Am)
Security At Death Row
Being 'Punk Rock' In That Element At Cam
Recording Vocals for Daz
How people reacted to Suge Knight
Cleaning up Blood in Suge's Office
Punishments and Beat Downs
And Lots More..

If any artists or producers out there want a Death Row engineer on their production, hit up Phil Brewster At Bigphil771@msn.com.
Serious inquiries ONLY!

About the let's get ready to rumble sample. Someone told me that the guy charges a million dollars to say it live. Do you know how much it cost for them to sample that?

The blood stories sound like what Mike Dean said working at Rap-A-Lot records.
2 Corinthians 6:8
By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

6:9
As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

6:10
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
