not a genius, quik was hell been in the studio since he was 13-14 yrs old

when him his sister brenda and billy couvson had a lil band called the underneeth or some shit singin songs about monkeys and shit

niggas in here hatin on the new school sound jus like the old heads when quik nem was coming up, claiming they didnt have no true musicianship, cant do shit without a sample etc

ringtone era dead, u can put what the hell u want on ya phone now, cant be mad the young bucks found ways to increase their wealth, when all the old niggas sittin around rememberin the time being grumpy

not too sure what this is? that quik isn't really very good? who from new school sound would be comparable, producer wise? and he's still making music, some of the best sounding stuff around, to my ears at least.

I've been catching myself  bumping this album too lately. Very solid... too bad artists nowadays produce something on a brilliance level of 0,01% compared to the good old days.

I think he was a genius long before that!  He did Quik Is The Name at 19 and it's one of the best debuts ever!  I like it way more than W2F or Safe & Sound.

safe and sound was his most mature album to date by far
rhythmalism is.

quik is what he is...legendary but a genius at 23-24 ..he wasnt he was raised in the studio and learned tricks from some of the best

who cares about who from the new school thats comparable to quik.. alchemist n terrace can give quik a run for his money

the way the game is set up...niggas n quik n dre r better off puttin shit out with niggas in their circle they already got relationships with..

because how the game is set up now...these new niggas aint tryin 2 spend no extra bread on clearin samples..if ya beat cd is nice they will buy the entire cd n make an album of it

aint no point in spendin dre n quik prices jus to see songs leak then later ya album leak 2weeks before in..

Seems to be nowadays that a lot of rappers hit the big time when they are getting to their mid 20s.  I always think it's incredible how someone like 2Pac crammed in so much and achieved loads in such a short space of time.
He was at legendary status when he'd just celebrated his 25th birthday, and to think someone like Eminem was just getting recognised at about the same age.
Back on topic though I need to jam Safe + Sound again - I've neglected that album of Quik's for too long at the expense of his others.
