MLB Report: Michael Pineda Named 5th Starter

Barring any post-poned games or injuries, it looks like Pineda will make his 2014 debut on April 5th against Toronto.

This means that:
*The Yankees have four righties and only one lefty in their starting rotation :puke:
*The Yankees will have extra bullpen depth with Phelps, Warren (and possibly Nuno) to aid Kelley, Betances, Robertson, Thornton and Robertson (and maybe Cabral and/or Claiborne)
*Everybody in the starting rotation is still liable to get injured at some point (and they all will at some point during the season)
*Phelps will assume the role of the fifth starter when somebody gets injured (which had better happen or my fantasy squad is fucked)
*The Yankees could potentially win the trade with Seattle (they probably won't but who the fuck knows?)

Lol, I still like the Yankees (somewhere deep down in my heart) but I've kinda grown accustomed to talking shit about them. It's definitely a whole lot easier than trying to justify how they're going to be a "good" team.

On a sidenote you do you know that I talk shit about every other team too right? Well okay, I suppose don't talk shit about them too often on here since a good 90% of the other MLB teams don't matter here, but nonetheless I always keep a couple of points about why each team sucks in my head just in case I feel like arguing with some random naive fan I don't know who's trying to be all happy and optimistic and shit about their favorite team. Remedy and Infinite probably know this to be true.

I'm just hoping they let Jeter sit out the rest of spring training and start him day 1   no need to risk injury.  and just sign that Stephen Drew bitch for a 2 year deal as a back up, dammit.

Who would you actually prefer Yanks start as a 5th starter though? They don't have that many options.

Why give up a draft compensation for a 2 year temporary replacement like Drew though? You might as well lock him up at that point.
