Riveras great, definitely the GOAT closer, but I don't know how you can mention him with the greatest pitchers of all time. Dude flat out failed as a starter.

failed?  he had less than a full season to try.  imagine if you said the same for Troy Aikmen as a QB after his first year lol

To be fair I was kinda speaking just off word of mouth, just heard he didn't do well. Like I said, Rivera's the GOAT closer and will be a well deserved hall of famer, just don't think you can say a closer was one of the greatest pure pitchers of all time.

I respectfully disagree. He's got mad innings under his belt and has the 11th lowest ERA of all time. The next closest modern day guy (understandably a starter should have higher ERAs but still) is Kershaw, who is 52nd lol.
