Lakers emerge as top contender to sign Carmelo Anthony

He would be stupid to go to the lakers. The best place if he wants to win would be Chicago but I think he will stay and take the money in New York

A lineup of Carmelo, Gasol, a well-rested Kobe and Randle would be killer. If they resign Nick Young, they'll be contenders for sure.

Do they have enough money to sign both Young and Thomas? It seems signing Carmelo and Gasol would eat up most their money. I think they'd have to choose between Young and Thomas. Have Farmar, Henry and Hil fill out the rotation and you have a very good team.
