it was good for the most part, refreshing to hear some new Jacka and Berner has stepped it up in the past few years

JME - Integrity>: the first grime album in my collection, been getting into the scene heavily recently (about time really since I'm from the UK), and this new release seemed like a natural introduction.  Great high energy, aggressive and witty bars from the Boy Better Know leader with features from Skepta, Wiley, Giggs etc.  Sort of like the UK equivalent of the Run The Jewels album.

Kam - Made In America: under the radar, easy listening g-funk album from the golden era.  Such great replay value on this one with a who's who of west-coast producers including Battlecat, DJ Quik, Cold 187um, Warren G and EA-Ski.  Kam sounds great over all of these beats and has a booming, authoritative voice which makes what he's saying all the more believeable.  Check out album highlight 'Keep The Peace' for perhaps Warren G's greatest production.

Earl Sweatshirt - I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside: more like an EP than an album (it's only 30 minutes long) but it retains that trippy, woozy Odd Future aesthetic that has been a trademark of OF albums/mixtapes since they started making music.  This will require a few more spins for me to properly take it in, not least because Earl's flow has dramatically changed since starting with the excellent 'Earl' mixtape a few years ago, and I'm not sure if it's for the better.

Shady XV compilation: I don't care what anyone says, this was a good release with a decent mixture of new and classic material from the Shady Records roster.

Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony - Creepin On A Come Up EP: this is a classic and a very strong introduction to the group.  No touching of the fast-forward button required on this one.  Funnily enough, the lesser known tracks are probably the best ones on here (No Surrender, Down Foe My Thang etc).

U be rotating albums like a mufucka....when I listen to something, it don't leave the deck for a couple weeks minimum. I really like to let the album sink in for I move on to the next.
