Crooked I: Sex, Money and Hip-Hop his best "album" to date

Tha Alkaholiks - 21 & Over daamn, this still a great record.

Keak Da Sneak & San Quinn: Welcome to Scokland both are hard on this one.

C-Bo: Til My Casket Drops maybe his best album, but in the top 3 without a question.

8Ball: Almost Famous this is the album where P diddy is good.  8)

doggfather:
Celly Cel: Brings the Gumbo Pot well, hes got waaaay better compilation than this. the crooked i, and celly cel tracks are the only tights.

8Ball & MJG: In Our Lifetime, Vol. 1 smooth and cool south music.

Jay Rock - 90059 really strong album. far from to pimp by kendrick, but still a good TDE release.

Scarface - Deeply Rooted oh, f.ck. this gonna be on my top 10 fo sure.

Paris: Pistol Politics this one is good to. might be a top 10 album.

dnjp4life:
Eric B. & Rakim - Paid In Full: thought I'd throw this on as I haven't heard it in years.  Refreshing to hear some stripped down, 'basic-beat' hip-hop sometimes, in contrast to the almost over-produced beats that you can hear on the radio today.  Love how almost all of Rakim's lines are quotables and have been sampled by everyone down the years.

Above The Law - Livin' Like Hustlers: seems to have gotten better since I last heard it, maybe because I'm revisiting all these old releases with a fresh perspective following the Straight Outta Compton film.  Nice back-and-forth rhyming from KMG and Cold 187um and cool how almost all of the tracks are built around really obvious funk and soul samples.

Big Pun - Capital Punishment: have only had this for around a year and I'm kicking myself for not having heard it sooner.  Pun's rhymes and breath control are insane and he's up there with the best of them.  A couple of tracks that I'm not that keen on, but a ton of great songs like 'Boomerang', 'You Ain't A Killer' and 'Parental Discretion'.  Features fit this album perfectly as well.

Eazy-E - It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa: great EP, minus the song 'Gimme That Nutt' which kind of detracts from the overall hard, gangsta tone of the EP.  The 'Boyz N The Hood' remix is a standout cut on here.

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony - E.1999 Eternal: just a great listen from front to back and a classic rap album.

Blood$:
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
Xzibit - Restless
Snoop Dogg - Tha Last Meal
MC Ren - Shock Of The Hour
Penthouse Players Clique - Paid The Cost
