Steve Nash pens "emotional" letter about his health..........
TraceOneInfinite:
I have my own theories when it comes to the back, as it nearly ended my highschool playing career...
We wear our burdens on our back and the back is a psycho-spiritual instrument and a reflection of our overall mental-spiritual health. Not that you have to be some kind of a guru to have a healthy back, but certainly a clear mind frees up the muscles in the back.
The root of Nash's back problems are the result of him being a white man in a black mans game. Same shit happpened to Bird. He is an overachiever, his mind is ahead of his body, and thus out of harmony. Like he said, his back won't allow him to accelerate with a superior black athlete such as Steph Curry. Nash's mind has conquered the game but his back won't follow suit and it is frustrating for him causing great pain.
Had he converted to Islam it would have brought harmony and cured his back problems. But all the harmony in the world can't erase his whiteness. The man has done all he can do in the game, he has overachieved and surpassed the limits of his whiteness. His back is crying our for him to finally show gratitude to Allah and be satisfied for his success in the game, and retire to a life of praising and serving Allah's majesty. He should give mich thanks. Being an overachiever is a gift and a curse. Its a curs now because he should have listened to what his body was telling him and retired a few years ago, he is overpaid and hurting the team causing more bad karma and more back problems. Still props to him for opening up to fans.

Football players are getting hit head-on play after play. Boxers are getting punched in the face for twelve rounds, unless they get put out of their misery somehow. Baseball players might take a baseball to the head. Dude is complaining about sometimes feeling discomfort when on the car ride home, but we have other sports where people can't even walk anymore after career-ending injuries. Fuck outta here.

lol, smfh. the only sport that could be considered more physically taxing than basketball is football. nash tried to play and would if he could, but his body simply wouldnt allow it. every1 within the laker organization will vouch for that.

I don't doubt that he would play if he could, but that has nothing to do with this letter. It's almost insulting to read as a fan. Kobe didn't need to write letters when he took most of last season off -- we knew he was injured. It sucks but we get it. But the way it was written, it seems like Nash is trying to act like he changed the sport and sacrificed his body in the process. Dude needs to tone it down and kick back with those emotional pleas for sympathy.
