Since nobody in rap wants to show courage and go against the grain these days (unlike back in the day when all rappers were outcastes)... props to Pharell for having theballs to point out that Michael Brown was a bully, and anyone who doesn't believe that just needs to watch his robbery video before being murdered when he bullys an old store clerk unnecassarily...

...so while other rappers like Talib Kweli (who I used to admire in my socialist days) want to make mike brown a saint and martyr, Pharrel is keepin it real... dude was no saint, he was a oversized Bully

but the pigs still had no business killing him, fuck that 'shoot to kill' training they could have tazed or maced him or just beat him up

plus does anybody actually believe he charged at a cop who already has a gun pointed at him? Pharrell just trying to get his edge on

Did you even reseearch the evidence, or did you just formulate an opinion off of a headline in the news?

The cop didn't even have a tazer

pharrell gon' be attacked by all the SJWs (social justice warriors) on the internet for this one. the shooting is tragic, but knowing the dude was an undesirable doesn't paint a good picture for what may have gone down in the moment. he makes the point that people's behaviour, specifically the reasons for their conditioning, shouldn't be glossed over and he's right.

“We’ve got to find some real water to put out that fire, and for me, the answer is love and unity,” he said.

you obviously didnt see pharrelles whole interview you cannot depend on these major news outlets they took that comment out of context.

he was basically saying whats wrong with the world that our children could be conditioned to be so cold and calloused...thats what he had a problem with. hes acknowledging that for a young man to be walking around acting like this theres fundamental problems in society that need to be checked. hurt people hurt people.

yeah I did see that part... I kind of took it as backtracking... but still, at least he pointed out that Michael Brown was a bully.  I mean... if you haven't even seen the surveillance video of Micheal Brown bullying a poor old man before the incident.... and now you are out in the streets burning shit and rioting then you are not much different then a vigilante lynching a black man for an accused rape 100 years ago

but the point is that a good portion of police are some bitches and whether these cats is troublemakers or not, they don't deserve to die + police have been abusing their authority for the longest.

It's called cause and effect, I remember these "If" and "Then" statements we used to make in elementary school.  And it goes a little something like this...

...If you try to wrestle a cop for his gun.... Then you might end up getting shot.

Michael Brown made a series of bad choices on that day that put his life in danger.  I know that means nothing to a socialist society that has abandoned the concept of personal responsibility.

but you really believe a bitchass cop when he says someone would be dumb enough to try and wrestle a gun from him? no offense, but how gullible are you homie? just shows me that you haven't really had your run-ins with the police, because lord knows theyre some of the biggest piece of shit liars on this planet....i think a majority of people who want to become cops do it for a sense of authority, and the same type of peeps who thirst for power usually use it for bullying purposes. now, a select few do genuinely want to protect and serve, but those are the minority of cops. you can have your opinion all you want, but sounds to me like you're rallying behind these pieces of shit, brodie.

it's not about "believing the bitchass cop".  Physical and forensic evidence indicates a wrestling over the gun in the car.  Are you that gullible to jump to conclusions without reviewing any evidence?

i know about the "evidence", but dna coulda been from after the shooting etc. i read the cops interview after the jury came to a conclusion, and it didn't sound believable whatsoever. a lot of it actually defied common sense....at the end of the day, i know firsthand the way cops can be, and this is most likely just another case of a police officer ego trippin, resulting in the death of someone who shouldn't have been killed. based on my experiences, i will NEVER give a cop the benefit of the doubt. but u know the way the system works, guilty until proven innocent. and since there was no proof, the bitchmade officer gets to walk, which will probably result in many more deaths like this in the near future.

Cops are regular people.  If people in the America are generally bitchmade then cops are generally bitchmade.  If people in the America generally abuse authority then cops in America will generally abuse authority.

If Michael Brown is a bully then maybe one day he will bully the wrong person.

...I don't know why people expect cops to be so saintly when society isn't.  I don't know why people think you can commit strong arm robbery, bully a store clerk, walk in the middle of the road, punch a cop in the head, wrestle a cop for his gun, and the cop is supposed to be Christ-like and turn the other cheek.

YO Sccit... what would you do if you were strapped and a some dude, 6'4" punched your ass in the face, called you a pussy, and tried to wrestle your gun away from you???  Or if you don't believe the forensic and DNA evidence, then what would you do if you were a store owner and a 6'4" dude bullied your ass and threw you up against the wall and turned back around to ask if you wanted some more???  Would you have responded like a Saint if you had a gun and you had encountered Michael Brown on that day and you were the one getting bullied?

Why do you expect the cop to be a Saint when your not?

You're so fucking dumb, it drives me away 5 minutes after logging on here.
What you might wanna ask from policemen is to simply act within the law they're supposed to hold up. And to be held accountable when failing to do so. This one case here that gets people so riled up is only a symptom of a generally failing system.

"In the past six years, HPD officers killed citizens in 109 shooting incidents and killed animals in 225 incidents. In 112 shootings, officers wounded citizens; in another 104, they wounded animals. Of 550 shooting incidents with some kind of casualty, not one was found unjustified."
