nowadays, it ain't about havin a superstar .... it's about havin MULTIPLE superstars. Kobe was the only player who could be considered anywhere close to superstar on this laker roster, and that wasn't guna cut it.......now, pair kobe with a Russell Westbrook or Anthony Davis, and that's automatic contention. not really that hard to figure out.

the last time he played in a playoff game was the last time he played alongside another superstar...which only proves my point. kobe is not done until he retires. if there is one more year left on his contract, he will play it out. now, whether he has a legit team to play with or not will be the most important factort...what needs to be done is a.)surround Kobe with a legit team for his farewell tour and b.)play him tim duncan style, 24 minutes here, 30 minutes there, etc...this is very doable and is the formula to success with the current situation.

actually, lakers were amongst the best teams in the league once they developed chemistry that year...amazing record in the second half of the season+kobe was having an mvp season. then the achilles tear, and the rest is history. good looks on provin my point, young beiber 8)
