actually, tied as far as titles go (nbl and baa merged to make the nba....nba recognizes baa titles but not nbl titles based on a technicality, but nbl was actually the stronger league with more teams that ended up movin to the nba)......so as a FRANCHISE, Lakers have 17 titles to Celtics 17....what seperates them, tho, is that Lakers didnt win most their titles in 1 era.....and have more finals appearances, playoff appearances, hall of famers, less losing seasons, etc. etc.....so at the end of the day, lakers>celtics by a wide margin.

fuck what others view as what....the truth is the truth, and aint no technicality guna change that. but yea, even without countin the nbl title, lakers are far and away the better franchise.
