Cali is pretty big, so no.

what music do you picture people listening here ?
Same as everywhere else - depending on the personality of listener - some like jazz, some rock and some rap?

do you really think people listen to stuff from death row and other old stuff from that era ?
Ofc some enjoy it, some wont. - Just like some will still bump a hammer, or Montell Jordan song.

im just interested on what ya really thinking whats going on here
No you not, you are beeing condescending. But i am sure most in Cali aint like you, but bitch ass haters come from everywhere.

I think all western english speaking countries (keeping in mind those countries are multicultural n even in america Spanish is actually spoken more on a sheer numbers basis) but most western countries are similar in the diversity we exhibit when it comes to likes n dislikes... I perceive america to be more influential politically and in regards to popular culture... But Hollywood got nothing on Bollywood, again, sheerly a numbers game.... If your into rap, regardless of era you at least know who snoop n dre n cube are... Here in Australia most artists are predominantly white n the local scene is pretty underground, but just like the states there are certain cultures n communities that gravitate toward hip hop due to identifying with some of the issues... We have approx 23million people, you have over 300 million, so the doses of either negative or controversial attitudes and mindsets are greater than in other western countries.... Then again, america is the home of the civil rights movement and people all over the world benefitted from those painstaking efforts for equal rights.... Some times I'm anti america cos I see how people have adopted the attitude to prosper at any cost, but that's been happening since the beginning of time.... America isn't solely responsible for the corruption that persists in all countries and cultures in the world, but to me, the american attitude that you should be able to do whatever you feel like just because you find it enjoyable is arrogant and egotistical and and others call it freedom when in reality it is keeping us bound to acts of depravity and instills the belief that exploitation is acceptable as long as there's a profit involved..... Again, america didn't invent that ideology but y'all seem to practice it a lot....

Personally I don't care what they listen to there, it doesn't interest me one bit. The golden age west-coast released the best Rap music ever. I'm not going to listen to music just because it's from a certain place. i'm going to listen to music because it's good and from the late 80's up until around 1998 the west-coast was the best.

You ask "what do you think we listen to in cali" and my answer is a lot of the south music because thats what the artists seem to be dick riding. There is no coastal sound any more east coast lost the "boom bap" and went to shit, west-coast lost the "live music/g-funk" and went to shit. Now we have iPad DJ's and fruity loop producers and the sound is generic... Hip Hop is rolling over in it's grave right now....
