Thundercat - "Them Changes" (prod. Flying Lotus)
« on: June 18, 2015, 02:17:46 PM »
This is excellent news is you are a fan of Thundercat (aside from the obviously great FlyLo production). Fan-favorite Thundercat will release a brand-new, "mini-LP" this coming Monday (June 22nd), Where The Giants Roam. His first since 2013's Apocalypse, the six-track EP is punctuated by its first offering "Them Changes;" an incredible slice of aural enjoyment that somehow embodies the feeling one gets when cruising down the Los Angeles streets after a perfect day, the Isley Brothers' "Footsteps In The Dark" and Kamasi Washington's beautiful saxophone licks. Listen to it below, and try your hardest not to break your neck nodding fiercely to it.

As a bonus, here is the tracklist for Thundercat's Where The Giants Roam.

    2. Song for the Dead
    3. Them Changes
    4. Lone Wolf and Cub
    5. That Moment
    6. Where the Giants Roam/Field of the Nephilim

here's a great live rendition of "them changes."  before i heard it, i  thought it was going to be a cover of buddy miles (jimmy hendrix's drummer) song of the same name.  but it's a dope original song.
