I can audibly HEAR what he is saying....
I can mentally ABSORB & COMPREHEND what he is saying...
I could even, artistically and subliminaislly SEE what he is saying....

There is no question, there is definitely an unjust, unequal and predominantly race related and motivated abuse of police powers, that I know, as even we, in our isolated continent, are made aware of these injustices on our news programs....

But...

And I can only say this from an outsiders perspective...

Although I do realise that Kendrick reports, through his lyrics and visual portrayal of certain environments, on these injustices in an artistic way, it would be easier for people like Geraldo to grasp that concept if the populat artists were those who just came straight out and said " let's get together, instead of fighting each other, and use our knowledge of corruption as a means to overcome these prejudices. Let's use our influence and celebrity to speak outout, clearly and openly against police brutality. Let's use our popularity to serve best as an example of how one SHOULD conduct themselves, if one wishes to live safely. Let's explore other areas of discrimination such as equal employment and education opportunities.
But one, that doesn't rhyme. Two, it gives no account of the real barriers, and three its not as profitable as lacing your art with provocative and commercially appealing ideals and practices...

Everyone wanna be superman...
No one wanna be Clark Kent....

But if it weren't for squeaky clean Clark Kent, superman would not have a break from being a super hero....
And that's how we view celebrities...
Like superheroes...
We invest faith as well as money in their ability to inspire and entertain us....

I bought tpab... I thought it was weird... I thought it was deep, such as these walls, alright, negus and a few righteous one liners here and there...

But when I saw the King Junta video, I knew it wasn't for me....

Just like I know, Completion is a great Rebuttle to My Skin Is My Sin and a great example of how you can defeat a negative with a positive, just as MSIMS is a great example of bringing attention to a supposed and stereotyped negative, which in truth is a positive....
And none of its for me...

Cos just like Geraldo, I don't have the same life experience and I don't have the same cultural background, so everything I say is irrelevant unless someone genuinely wants me to weigh in with an opinion....
