LOL @ every topic going off track on the forum.

What would the Dogg Pound story even consist of?? A Death Row movie makes much more sense, but I doubt that will ever happen. I like hearing the interviews speaking on old Death Row stuff better anyways. Daz is full of shit like usual lol.

A DPG movie would be a c-grade, straight to dvd release. Very few people these days care about them, even Snoop can't get his career buzzing again, he's living off the icon status rather than hit records. Dogg Pound albums don't even sell 1k units so a movie will be pointless.

A TDE movie is what is needed, or maybe a Dr. Dre movie.

Fuck outa here CORREA!!!
trying to have a relevant conversation on my IRRELEVANT thread!!!

N no disrespect to the, but that fact that their biggest earners both signed to aftermath is proof that unless they get the distribution and marketing connects to establish themselves as a major label there just a one trick pony???

Or am I behind in the times???

Have they already secured the necessary connects to establish themselves as a leading label???

I thought they were underground till dre checked out Kendrick???

1. Kendrick is only signed to aftermath
2. tde didn't need no dr gay they already had a big following
and Kendrick was going to make it big time with or without dre unlike em and 50 Kendrick could hold his own and tde has good in house production
3. tde doesn't need aftermath they wanted to stay underground i guess gay dre made them a great deal but tde has creative control on Kendrick music thank god
4. if Kendrick wasn't good dre would have never put the album out

My, my, my CORREA, I dare say I touched a nerve...
Might it be that you have no concept of longevity thereby need to assert yourself by throwing blind idolatry of more current artist into the fore of your pathetic attempt to discredit those who paved the way for artists like Kendrick????

Aftermath is under the interscope umbrella, as is shady...
TDE has become a global franchise through their affiliation with aftermath on the deal they got for Kendrick....
Believe me, given the opportunity to produce major artists with garunteed distribution is something TDE would dream of, but they seem to be a stepping stone for artists trying to secure a deal with more reputable firms....
I was working under the assumption that Kendrick is signed to both aftermath and TDE... I do beg my pardon if I'm incorrect....
Larger labels are more discipline orientated as they need a professional artist who will allow themselves to be moulded into the image the label believes will sell....
Larger labels think globally in terms of marketing whereas indie labels allow for more freedom of expression, with a smaller target audience, generally encouraging a image that premotes more freedom of expression....
Major labels sell you...
Indie labels allow you to be more involved in marketing and advertising strategy.... If they have a strategy at all...

These principles can be mirrored in both aftermath n TDE as they are hip hop labels, but the same kind of ethics that are applied to mass produced pop are practiced in all musical genres n divisions of companies...

Black hippy are only able to record and as a TDE group.
Schoolboy is only enjoying the fruits of his labor through his affiliations with Kendrick.... And no I am not saying he isn't talented....

Cube sold 300k units of I am the west in first months of release, and it sucked, but he was able to market his product globally through distribution with major company....

Numbers don't lie but they can be deceptive....

you touched a nerve cause of your retardation  ;)
MAJOR LABELS ARE IRRELEVANT
artist don't need major backing you have the internet and social media u can make your own music videos
tde didn't have big money for major videos but there videos were unique and not so cliche like the major videos that's how they made it and of course touring
more  proof you ask just leave 1996 for a min and see the current west coast no major deals still making it its the best since the 90s  look at nipsey hussle

Numbers don't lie but UR FULL OF shit no fucking way an irrelavant washed up garbage like im the south sold that month LMAO  http://www.complex.com/music/2012/09/the-30-lowest-first-week-album-sales/slaughterhouse
