Quik himself wouldn't approve of some of the Standing you do when it comes to him brotha. Quik is one of the masters but he is not the end all be all to everything dope in hip hop. I know it is hard to imagine but other people can come up with hot shit too without Quik's help. The song sounds nothing like Quik's approach to making a beat, not even a little bit. That's Dre & Mike all the way bro. Stop reaching and trying to force Quik's name to beats and samples he has nothing to do with and enjoy the shit he actually done like the rest of us. Let your hero breath one time. DJ Quik didn't produced every dope thing in hip hop world...i'm claiming a couple of tracks on that specific Aftermath period..i'm not a stan..it's obvious..example..DJ Quik has nothing to do with albums like Chronic 2001, Documentary, Streetz is a Mutha and etc..there are theories such as that Quik produced "Dogg Food" ..i don't believe in this..he only mixed a little bit, but not produced..the whole album sounds like Daz and Soopafly.I Believe in concrete theories, like these "Aftermath" records, we all know that Quik worked for the label from 01-04 .And trust me, i believe people can make hot shit without Quik, See Pete Rock,Primo, Daz, Battlecat, Kanye,Timbo, Pharrell, Just Blaze and several others....Another Example:You really believe that Jelly Roll is the only one who produced this track ?https://www.youtube.com/v/sA1SLqzV70EC'mon Mr. Theo put the fan shit aside & be real with yourself. That is a Dr. Dre production it sounds nothing like a DJ Quik production period point blank. The tempo, the piano, the attention to detail the way the instruments are placed, the guitar (we all know how DJ Quik likes his guitar players to play & that is clearly Mike playing to Dre's standards) ,the instruments themselves on the track are instruments that DJ Quik doesn't use. I wouldn't have responded if you would've said something like "in my opinion that sounds like Quik" but when you state that it's clearly a Quik production like it's gospel or like you were sitting in the studio session, when anyone with half an ear knows that sounds nothing like a Quik beat, I have to step in. This isn't the 1st time you placed Quik on shit he didn't produce (& I'm sure wont be the last) but c'mon man ease up a lil bit &.let these other producers shine too. Dre &.Quik are both similar as they are both super dope rapper/producers from Compton with helluva ears and can mix/engineer they ass off but their approach to crafting beats are so different, I don't see how you you could confuse the two. And Quik did no mixing on Dogg Food, that's all Dre. Listen to what Quik mixed on book 1 (the songs Daz produced) of All Eyez On Me then listen to Dogg Food mixed by Dr. Dre. Same producer (Daz with some uncredited help from Soopafly I'm sure) two different people mixing them, & two totally different but both dope I'm their own right sounds. As for that Jadakiss shit, I don't have the credits but that was probably mixed by Quik as well but it sounds Jelly Roll-ish to me. It could've been done on Quik's equipment using his sounds or it could've been mixed by Quik as he would mix his own shit but it sounds like something Jellyroll would play to me. Me myself, I think Quik would've came with something way better had he produced that Jadakiss record. But I'd admit that can be more debatable than that it Eve/Dre/Mike shit which shouldn't even be a conversation. On a side note,I'm not responding to you to bash you or anything because to me you are one of the better posters on here, just giving my perspective. CHECK JADAKISS LABEL AT THAT TIME!Peace Bro!!!

Which was his old house. You know people in Quik's circle (friends, family or personal life). Coincidence?I'm not attacking you because I'm a huge Quik fan as well but you can't tell everyone on this board you're not a Quik stan - especially with a name like Mr. Theo. Only Quik heads will understand the relation between the two names.
