The thing I don't like about Kendrick is he either sounds like an alien or an angry dweeb yapping over the track.  I am seeing a lot of t of posts aibout aggressive flows etc.   am I going to hear a bunch of Kendrick sounding tracks or something you can chill and ride to?   Ps I haven't listened to anything yet, waiting for Friday.

ABSOLUTELY the Kendrick sounding tracks. The only song which is chilled that you can ride to, or at least the only song you'd expect from old school Dr Dre, is It's All on Me. That's a really good song, but everything else has that "aggressive rapping" on "digital" beats.

u dont like it then ride around to some old ass dre shit so people can laugh at your irrelevant ass :D

I find it absolutely bizarre that we are on a westcoast rap forum and you'd suggest that someone should be laughed at for listening to some old Dr Dre tracks.

There's probably more Drake fans than DJ Quik fans on this site. A shame.

After a couple listens..fuck this album!

1. I can hardly tell who the fuck is who. Dre sounds NOTHING like his usual self. Dude has a sick voice but this album he decided to use all kinds of nasty flows and weird yelling and shit.

2. May Anderson .Paak, King Mez, and Justus all burn in hell together. I wasn't a fan of Bishop or Slim AT ALL but those two make these new guys look like fuckin Rakim and Krs. Terrible writers for Dre.

3. Waaay too much singing and extended hooks.

4. We get 2 Snoop collabos (or as I call them - safety nets cuz those two are Batman & Robin) - 1 Snoop completely rips it and Dre's not even on the fuckin song. And the other is instantly one of the worst songs in Dre's catalogue. Wtf? These guys just made Kush a few years ago, how'd things get this bad so fast?

5. The Hutch/Xzibit track...why is this like 4 fuckin snippets being sold as 1 song? The beat X rapped over was insane - stick to that one!

6. We FINALLY get a Dre/Cube collabo and it sounds like background music for Monster Truck Madness 97

7. Sorry if I sound stuck in the past but...where are the usual suspects?! There had to have been Nate Dogg material leftover that he could've used. No Kurupt? No DOC? A Dr. Dre album is NOT a Dr. Dre album without those 4 (including Snoop). Plus is this muthafucka ever going to record a song with Warren G like his fans have been begging for for decades? Plus how do you do an album called Compton with no Quik?

3-4 songs worth talking about. Fuck this album. This nigga owes us a Detox more than ever now.

Some are grateful,  some are complaining,  some are making comparisons of this album compared to Dre's older work.  If you don't like it just move on, no one's opinion will magically change this album, i for one enjoy this album and not because I'm a Dre fan, I'm a fan of real music, this album is better than 90% of the crap that's out but yet people complain. Even if this album is or isnt a masterpiece someone will find a reason to complain about something. Some complain about a 50 year old shouldn't be rapping like he's 25 but want the Dre from the Deathrow or chronic 2001 days SMH, does that make any sense? You want the the old sound from an older man but don't want the older man to sound young Lol,  I want to see one of u guys come out with an album at 50 and see what the world has to say about it, but since the world doesn't know who u are there would be nothing to talk about

Just heard the track "All In a Day’s Work". I was like WTF, is this Dre rapping?!?!? Hate it when he does a different voice or flow. Old voice and flow from the 90's was so much nicer. And the track was nice but didn't make me go  :o
