I'm still waiting to hear or read any kind of extended interview on Jerry's impressions of the movie.  I haven't found one, but if there is one, hook me up.

...I thought Paul Giamatti did an incredible job playing Jerry and damn near even steals the show.   I mean Jerry's character was a great character in the movie, he's the funniest character to me, very smart, intricate, and shows a lot of emotional range.  Also they were pretty fair I thought in showing that he wasn't all bad or all good, he was real.

yeah

and I'm pretty sure Jerry is in talks with lawyers to try and hit them with a lawsuit but who knows if and how far that will go

they made it seem like jerry was the one doin all the dirty shit, shady business and what not.....in reality, it was eazy right by his side wit all them decisions. him and eazy were business partners and much closer than the movie led on. the original script ended with jerry heller hearing that eazy died on the radio and pulling over to the side of the road to break down in tears. oher than that, paul giamatti did do a great job.

I've been wondering about this as well.

My guess is that EITHER he was satisfied with the movie's portrayal OR he is having his lawyers pursue an out-of-court settlement. He knows that he has a case that can be made in court, so it might save the film company money to skip paying the lawyers and just give him a few hundred thousand dollars.

Paul Giamatti also play's as "The Beach Boy's" music manager in the movie "love and mercy" it was released in 2014 and stars John Cusack as Briam Wilson. Paul Giamati does an even better job in that movie because their manager was 10x worse than Heller even abbusive to the scizophrenic Brian Wilson... Check it out
