Cueto better fuccing pitch like Johnny Cueto tonight or Royals are finished
TraceOneInfinite:
Royals gave up nearly all our good left-handed pitching prospects for Johnny Cueto. Because he was supposed to be a bona fide ace for the staff. The guy we could count on to start Game 1 in the playoffs, since James Shields was lost to free agency.
He has been dominant, consistent for years, and had a great first half. Comes to the Royals in the second half of the season, pitches a few good games, and then just goes in the tank. He has not been Johnny Cueto since. He was so bad that he ended up losing his #1 spot and ace status in the rotation. He did not start the first game of the postseason as planned, and the Royals fell to the Astros.
Now you got Kiekal nearly rested and ready to go in Game 3 for the Astros, and that guy is damn near unhittable right now. Unless Cueto pitches like Cueto tonight in Game 2 the Royals are about to get swept.
....it's a little anti-climatic after the Royals did everything right all season long, to win home field throughout the playoffs, and now they are about to get swept out of the first round by the Wild Card team.

Cubs are gonna make it in the NL. Don't see KC making it another year either.
