Brian G = Death Row producer Char Jones?

I'm wondering if this is the same person. Brian G did production for SWV for Above the Rim Soundtrack, Lord Knows for Pac and 2 joints for OFTB from Gridlock'd and Gang Related. But on Gridlock'd there are songs: Storm - Will I Rize and B.G.O.T.I. - Tonight It's On. In booklet it says that Char Jones was a producer, but in song files Brian G is listed as compositor. I think it's the same person, cuz these 2 productions is only we know from this "Char Jones". Anybody knows anythin?
