During this period..Pac was drove bout older rapper's riding his coat tails bringing the Westcoast movement as war, but only after Pac started it. and he mentioned "Bow Down" in a interview by name, how he respected Cube as one of his mentor's....but pissed that it took his (Pac's)stepping out to bring the WEST back to the front. In other words he thought they were jumping on the East/West coast war to cash in and bank on it.Check the words..."All you old rappers trying to advanceIt's all over now, take it like a manNiggas lookin like Larry Holmes, flabby and sickTryin to player hate on my shit, you eat a fat dick"2pac on-Against all oddsIt was a shot at rapper's riding the beef...Although a track together would have completly destroyed the cold wether in Ny ImO..All we can do now is remix it our selves.Hatesrats 2000Tre

That diss on "Against All Odds" was towards De La Soul. Listen to the background and you can hear Pac say "Look at De La Soul". De La Soul dissed/complained about Pac escalating the East/West war.2. Pac would be mistaken if he thought Cube was just trying to cash in because Cube started the West Coast backlash before Pac. Check "Westside Slaughterhouse" which was released in 1995 when Pac was still on that Me Against The World tip. Cube also used the "W" back in 1993 for the video for "You Know How We Do It".
Not only he was lookin up to Cube at all times, but Pac worked with Cube and Ice-T in a track. It's in Strictly 4 My NIGGAZ, 1993.
He didn't have a problem with Cube, but Cube was Dre's homie, and he had a problem with Dre. He called out Cube on not releasing Bow Down until he released Hit 'Em Up. He wanted Cube to take the lead, 'cause Cube was the head of the west, or at least he seemed like it. 'Pac though said he still repected Cube, and looked up to him, but wished he would have done Bow Down sooner. A 2Pac and Westside Connection song would have ended the Coastal War without death IMO, 'cause that would have killed Brooklyn's Finest, The Firm, or anything else Mobb Deep and CNN, or any other Eastcoast artist could do. The towers would have feel again like Snoop and Tha Dogg Pound, which 'Pac respected for New York, New York well he was in jail.
