Ok, ROFL and ROTF are the same things... Rolling on the floor laughing...

Once you master the use of ROFL, you can then upgrade to compound abbreviations, i.e. ROFLMAO.

LMAO means laughing my ass off... *Note to Hector: this is not to be confused with LMAU - lubing my anus up*...

ha ha

*You know that there is actually a serious debate about this kind of talk in the UK because of some girl who wrote and turned in an entire paper using "shorthand (the way you would abbreviate stuff on text messaging, 2 way)", which in turn scared teachers into thinking that this could cause illiteracy problems??* - weird eh?
