This is his way of coping with someone bringing up something that scares him. "You're emotionally disturbed!". It's a defensive mechanism that his tv taught him...anyone telling you anything other than what WE tell you has this horrible disease called EPD which requires a lifetime of hardcore meds to treat! (not cure)
The other tell tale sign is that he couldn't even argue what I was saying, he just said I needed meds so he could justify not really thinking about what I was saying. He doesn't want to discuss what I said, it gets him out of his comfort zone and into reality, not his manufactured world.
I hope his child doesn't dare think outside the box, he'll have him doped on ADHD meds and anti-psychotics by the time he's 10. You ever seen someone that's been on ADHD meds since they were kids? They are completely non-functional people. Almost autistic.

yea the teachers told my mom i had add when i was in elementary school cuz i was hyper as fuck and didnt give a shit about the boring bullshit they were teaching as much as i cared for clowning and socialising......thankfully, my mom never gave me the zombie medication they recommended and i ended up acing school without even trying
i agree with your overall "think outside the box" mentality fam
on the other hand, I do think that sometimes you might take it to the extreme, which is where i can see why some1 like tom trips on u
