and WTF? Take Robocop for example, u see Murphy get his hand blown off and fucked up with bullets. Today u see ppl get shot multiple times in Matrix and damn near no blood or gore.

yup 80's/early 90's films are the best.  Everything now is awful, the only original film of the last 5 years has been The Matrix everything else has been done before.  The 80's was when the standard was set.  Amazing!

What It comes down to is that money's the bottom line. More money can be made off of a PG-13 movie than an "R" rated movie due to the simple fact that it's avalible to a wider audience. I've heard some predictions that Matrix 2 is gonna blow out the sales for an "R" rated movie. Lets hope hollywood gets the hint that "R" rated movies can still make them LOTS of cash, and in turn start taking more and more risks and girtty pictures.
