no i watched it on mtv bass last night its a mixture between hip hop and basketball, they do loads of tricks and stuff

Yeah...really that programme on mtv was a load of sheit...
...they didnt really show their tricks...
...was more of a one trick face off than a free style comp...


nike run these competitions if your really interested...dont know if you have missed the dates already...
...but that thing has been going for years really, jus look at harlem globetrotters at work..go get some videos..see some of the real old school magic. Not much has changed.

Only real difference is the showboating we used to practise on courts has become almost a separate event...watch some and1 vids as well you'll spot a lot of the streetball tricks in there.

Aim is simple...make your opponent look as stupid as possible when beating sending them wrong way/ on their ass (in a game) this free style is similiar to that..come out with the hottest moves you know and try to be origional.


Anyway...have fun practising! and dont forget the old school ;)

That program on MTV was rubbish. They had like 50 minutes build up making it sound as if it was an actual competition, and then they did the typical neutral mtv thing, and just showed them doing the tricks in front of one another and then came out with the standard "well, although there were no real winners, I think everybody who took part in the event was a winner". I might check that midnight madness thing though next time I'm in London cause that did look pretty dope.
