This song alone blows past the entire Eastsidaz EP in every category at lightning speed. Production is good quality, arrangement is solid, concept is there, and lyrics are classic X. It definitely leaves you wanting more, which is what any good single does. My only nitpick is with these two-verse tracks - that formula seems to have taken over the industry without any explanation. I would've loved a third verse on this from X.I'm hopeful there will be some Dr. Dre involvement on this project. A high quality track or two from Battlecat and a King Tee feature would be nice too.
Hottest song released on the West Coast this year.
I have to agree. The fact that I have to think hard for anything that can touch this is just more confirmation. If this is the baseline X is working with, we're in for his best work since the Restless days. His peers should take a page from this playbook. So far, he's delivering.
Truth be told, the vocal arrangement and beat reminds me of Xzibit and Dr. Dre chemistry.
i hate %90 of dem jointz beats. i didnt feel this one too.
