Biggest Bangers in order:1. "Now We Lay Um Down" - this joint had everything, was that Kokane doing his thing at the end, that's one of the best Outros of all time in hip-hop...the beat bangs in the ride, next level G shit2. "Balls of Steel" - This track was my favorite initially when I got this album but it kind of faded after that. I didn't know it at the time cause I wasn't up on 80's hip-hop but this is like a cover or remake of which classic ol school joint??3. "G'd Up" - perfect lead single, Butch really shines on the hook, that was the beauty of the album Snoop compiled so much West Coast talent it was like Snoop's ChronicHonorable Mention:Every track really.. you can play the whole album without skipping but..4. "Life Goes On" always felt this was a moving track... Like Snoop's own sort of "Dear Mama" track, he had another good one like it on his Top Dogg solo5. "G in Dee" - Tray Dee goes hard on this one and makes you wish he had done a major label solo album6. Ghetto7. Big Bang Theory8. Be Thankful9. "Got Beef" good song, but I didn't really see it as worthy of a single, but the track got some airplayevery song.. no skipping tracks
Snoop was in a zone during those couple of yearsNo Limit Top Dogg, Tha Eastsidaz, Tha Last Meal
amazing period ended up with his best album ever after doggystyle. it was amazing to witness it those years as a west coast hip-hop fan. all we had to do was just wait bombs to drop those days. today im diggin hard to find smth worth to listen and i barely find.
Which album you consider best Snoop's after Doggystyle?
I still prefer Doggfather over this one.
No limit top dogg is a classic too also.that three following albums (no limit top dogg, the last meal, paid da cost to be da boss) were classics to me. snoop was in his prime again.
"Paid da Cost?" too?
i wrote it already, read it again bro'
This and doggys angels Pleezbalevit were in constant rotation. Those were the daysAlthough Last meal was a decent album, I personally didnt feel it flowed very well with the timbaland tracks sounding out of place. Also to me the I Can't Swim song gets annoying. I remember thinking wtf the first time I heard snoop singing and ruining a great Battlecat beat on Leave me alone. My personal preference of snoop dogg albums is as follows:1. Doggfather - (heard this before doggystyle and what got me into Snoop in the first place, I use to have it had it on cassette). 2. Doggystyle3. Blue Carpet Treatment4. No Limit Top Dogg5. Last Meal6. I Wanna Thank Me7. Cool Aid8. Doggumentary9. Paid the Cost to be the Boss10. From Tha Streets to the Suites11. Ego Trippin'12. Malice n Wonderland13. Neva Left14. Bush15. Da Game Is to be Sold, Not Told16. R&G17. Reincarnated
