who really got a boost from 2001? hittman but then he faded away to lack of material getting put out and not having quality material
xzibit got a bit more exposure, however it was bitch please which broke him through and the amount of work he did by getting on over 30 albums released in 1 year.
snoop just maintain his current status
knoc flopped, advances came out which just showed he couldn't hold an album on his own
six-two DOC's artists not much material appeared from him since
all he did was put out a brilliant westcoast record, he didn't "save" the westcoast look at the albums in 1999/2000 who moved units? dre snoop xzibit
people talk dre up to be a God of the westcoast, he can't turn radio stations, record companies, music tv station etc. into marketing machines for the entire westcoast. dre n snoop been about for years they worked with many people from the westcoast and from other areas if they just stuck to the westcoast all they'd do is isolate themselves even more than westcoast rap already is.
of course artists these days usually need a helping hand from some major artists but immaginations can stretch further than just dre n snoop being solely responsible for an entire coast
