Well in greedy America they charge you about

COX CABLE in San Diego
$40 for Cable Internet $10 extra to rent the modem if you don't buy 1  
$45 for Cable TV

Here we have 1 cable line.....that can output Cable TV, Cable Telephone and Cable Internet but you get charged more money for more services

i'm paying for ONLY cable internet, and i just ran a splitter from the main line, one to my modem and the other to my tv, works fine

Def cable modem. I don't watch that much TV anyways.

I pay for dsl, but split it with 3 other people, so its only about $12.50 a month.

and my homie works for the cable company, and I paid him a one time fee of $45 and I have gotten free cable since then ;D
