heyyou:
I liked D&YG, but it's nowhere near the quality of Dogg Food.

The rapping on the majority of D&YG is not great and I don't like the cadence from Daz (I don't like his lazy shouty style he uses later in his career) and the subject matter is too played out.
Dogg Food had that gangsta rap vibe, but if you listen to the lyrics it wasn't actually that overtly 'gangsta' (it still had some battle rap essence).

Both albums were a little too long imo but Dogg Food had a warmer production.
D&YG's production was tight, clean and crisp, but just like Compton & Missionary, it lacked warmth and was a little too bright.
