All governments and big corporations really. And as I get older I trust them less and less. I don’t understand the blind faith people put into the government like they actually want your well being lol what a joke

I think anyone who sides with the establishment and blindly trusts the government, especially when it pertains to their health and wellbeing, is nothing more than a fool. A 'mark' to be taken advantage of and played at every turn. There is no point in arguing with anybody that believes otherwise, because even know we have countless historical examples of this not being true, even recent examples during the entire 2 year covid era, I do genuinely believe people have been subtly brainwashed over the past 2 years.
I know many avid neutral types that were by to by, playing by the book, by the rules their entire lives that have now suspected something and are erring on the side of caution whenever their government or media says anything, which is completely uncharacteristic of them. But likewise, I've also seen many people I'd never suspect in a million years, buying into the current narrative 100%, and of the mindset of "believe government first, ask questions later", which is really surprising, but also disappointing.
I haven't lost any friends during this whole debacle, but it has made me see some in an entirely new light

Then that's the hill that people must die on.
It's one thing to have people standing 2 metre's apart and making them cover their faces in useless cloth, which is pretty demeaning for those of us that understand the uselessness of those said measures imposed, and it's even one thing to restrict people from the societal enjoyment of leisure activities such as sporting events and cinema's, but it's an entirely different thing altogether to dangle employment and money, tools essential for survival in this current system, in front of people, which translates to nothing more than:
"Get the vaccine or starve"
This is when people must make a stand, even if it's to their own detriment. Compliance getting a vaccine to save a job, will only lead to more horrific ultimatums for our own and future generations.
One of the most flawed statements I ever heard people repeat from the start of this entire thing was that "If people just follow the rules, we'll get out of this a lot quicker", which is just ridiculous. No government in the history of mankind has ever given away it's claimed power no matter how submissive it's population is. Compliance is never rewarded, only ever exploited further until something erupts that shifts the balance of power. It's like saying the quicker we give away our rights, the quicker we'll get them back again. It just doesn't work that way. Most of our rights we have, at least the ones we most likely take for granted today, were borne out of civil disobedience. Blood, sweat and tears. It's a kind of insult to those that helped pave the way.
Take the UK as an example. The government there were found to be having garden 'parties' last year and the public were furious, and it wasn't the portion of the population that were already disobedient, this was the majority of the population that had been following all of the rules. So straight away the gov there have down a massive U-turn. Scrapping all of the vaccine passports, the mandates, even all of the mask wearing. Why? Well, it could be to save face for election, it could be avoid a mass revolt, or it could even be that this entire thing had a 2 year trial shelf-life on it, and it's coming to an end in April 2022 and they need to find an exit strategy to move onto the next big pantomime (most likely climate lockdowns etc.)
