Not surprised the album was pushed back. The single he chose was terrible.

I know. And his mental state is so fragile and his legacy is so important to him, I’m worried that since this single didn’t garner the positive reception that he thought it would that he just scraps the whole album. Really hoping that doesn’t happen. The single isn’t awful. Just not that signature Quik sound we are used to hearing.

i thought single was dope but yea, def sounded diff from what were used to

prolly woulda been better as an album cut than single

If the single is indicative of what we have to look forward to, then I'd rather he scrap all of it. Im sure Im in the minority but the Quik Im interested in hearing from is the one that produced and rapped on the first 4 albums.

it’s kinda weird, but the first verse on class sounds somewhat like him

then from the 2nd verse on he just sounds like someone else

i like the vibe of the joint tho.. the scratches on the sample are super dope

My kids love the sample and scratches. Myself as well.

My wife said its the most fucking annoying song and sound ever, cant stand the sample.

Im guessing this song is a hate it or love it situation for most.

I think its more that this is not what anyone expected from Quik.
We're all expecting some funk, not this. The sample is not flipped in any interesting way and the only thing I appreciate is the scratching.
The lyrics are as generic as anything else out, his voice is extremely monotone and bland.

Sorry to go on a rant but I expect much better from Quik.
