damn i think man vs machine is dope and has 5 excellent tracks that are a hard to come by from the west coast...anyway my top 5

1 space boogie(man i was soooo looking forward to this after streetz...and it really sucked)
2  paid da cost(i wasnt expecting much, but it couldnt even live up to that)
3 the last meal(after a classic album(nl topp dogg)..came this after, hearing kokane on all those tracks i threw up...had such potential
4 until the end of time (the production had me soooo pissed off)
5 50 cent..the most overrated album of all time, it was so hyped and had a great single...but the album sucks and i only listened to it for a week or two

this post is about opinions and if someone feels PTCTBTB wasn't good then oh well...doesn't mean you have to feel the same way...

i'd say... man vs machine: i gave this cd about 3 spins and lost interest
all stars: with all this talent....just don't see how they fucked up
return of the regulator: just no where near the quality of regulator. i think the hype was mostly the titles fault

ImO...

The Geto boys "Da Good Da Bad & Da Ugly"

I'm a huge Face, The Geto Boys fan since the jumpstart of Rap-a-lot. but yo Even having The best rapper the south has ever known as your front man can't help this shit cd. ImO...this is the worst cd in the history of Hip-hop.
It can't be listened to.

Besides Gangsta (put me down) it don't have shitt worth the $11.99, Rap-a-lot should have gave these away.

Man Vs Machine was a major letdown having expected something amazing from that album, and then getting what sounded like a half assed effort all round. Like KVB said, they actually put the best track on the bonus disc, and the lyrics in that track actually contradicted his entire album. I am hoping he recorded that when he had completed the album, realising that prehaps the actual album wasn't as dope as it should have been, and we will now see more of that type of Xzibit on his next album.

There were no albums that I was anticipating that ended up being shit, but there were some that were well bellow expectations even if they were still really good.

Xzibit-Man vs. Machine
Well I guess the machine won, becasue this was an 7.5 to 8 album when we were supposed to get a 9 to 9.5 album. I was expecting the beats to be even better than Restless and for Xzibit to come much stronger lyrically, especially after all the bull shit he said about him using 5% of his skill on Restless and how with the extra time on this album he was gonna be really strong lyrically. Well the beats were bellow Restless and even Dre couldnt give a couple of classic gems for this album. If he came at 5% lyrically on Restless than he must have  come at 4% this time around. X better get his head straight and give us a classic next time around or I'm gonna ruff him up when I see him at a club.

DJ Quik-Under The Influence
Quik was also hyping this up and saying he was gonna have beats on it that he was saving for years and that it was gonna be a great album. Well it was a relly good album, but not on the level of Rythamalism, Safe and Sound, and Way Too Fonky. It was instead on the level of his first album and of Balance and Options which he purposfully tried to fuck up to get out of his contract. The main problem with this album was Dre's Influence and the fact that Quik did not have time to do what Dre has done many times before, and that is change his sound. Dre told him you are too good to do one type of sound and you should do some other styles. The thing is that when Dre makes a new sound it take several years and he is the best at it. Quik probably had a year and a half ever since Dre's "Influence" so what he came up with were bangers, but they were not classics like they could have been had he used is regular sound or taken more time. I just hope that the info is true and that Quik is making another album, because he is only second to Dre.

Snoop Dogg-Paid The Cost To Be The Boss
I was expecting a near classic album about 7 moths before the release, but after hearing some of the leaked track from his label my expectations were brought down, and when I heard that he wanted to do things on his own and not have Dre produce my expectations fell even more. This was a good album, but it was bellow the Kokane infested Last Meal when it should have been at least a little above it. I'm a big Snoop fan but he has been really dissapointing me lately by being lazy. What he did with this album was have fun and try to cash in by using the Neptunes. What he should have done was try and make a classic album like Nas a Jay-Z have been trying with their last two. The difference is that he has the ability to make a classic album while those other two don't. Snoop has a stable of artists and producers and can work with anybody in the industry, but instead of trying hard he tries to have fun and play wanna be pimp. There in no reason that he couldn't make a classic while having fun and after all those dissapointing albums since Doggystyle he ows one to the fans that have suck by him.

Some people can't post anything in a forum without dissing "Paid tha cost..." Quite annoying, especially considering it ain't bad at all.

It'z also not good at all.
