Adults are stupid and 99% of people you meet in person over 30 are morons

It’s not necessarily a case of doubting oneself.  It’s a case of older people think they are wiser and wouldn’t make the same mistakes as their youth, and if only I could do it all over again knowing what I know now…

There’s a great 80’s movie starring Corey Haim and Corey Feldman about this called Dream a Little Dream.  But basically the old man tells the 17 year old “get off my lawn” and they end up transporting and switching bodies.  Finally at the end Corey Feldmans character is like “come on pops I thought you had all the answers”.

Anyway long story short the old man was over calculating everything and couldn’t act in the moment.

It ain’t about me dawg I see it everyday.  Just look at the nicca next to you and ask if that nicca done fell off from his former self

… part of it is the state of the Nation, Trump was tryna bring it back strong again but no—y’all wanna push for collectivism, socialism, communism, mask-wearing, lockdowns, boosters, gay and trans agenda, money to the Ukraine, NASA Science hoax, Ukraine, higher taxes, race agenda—- ain’t no way America gonna come back stronger like that

So the Nation gettin weaker is a factor

But as a general principle it is a myth that people improve with age.  Actually every day you wake up you have equal opportunity to progress or regress.  It’s no different than your physical fitness.  If you wake up and run that day you get stronger if you wake up and sit that day you get weaker.  You don’t automatically progress as a result of being 1 day older.  You can just as easily forget something as you could learn something.

because there are two paths

the right path and the wrong path

when u take the right path, things get better.. u grow, u learn, you advance

but when u take the wrong path, everything goes to shit

since infinite took the wrong path, he projects and subconsciously assumes everyone is on the same wavelength as him

the good thing is that there’s always time to change and navigate yourself to the path that leads to good

Okay so you think you are better now than before and you think Infinite is worse.  You are making this about me and you—but I am making a general statement as one of my core philosophies.  It’s no different than me saying Coward-19 is a hoax or globe earth is a hoax.  I am saying the concept of “maturing” is a myth.

Just as you said—there is equal chance of degrading and decaying as there is progressing—everyday you wake up.  Even if you think you are progressing, it’s still the same concept when Scitt wakes up tomorrow.  You could’ve progressed every day up until now but that means nothing tomorrow morning cause your standard could be so high that even in succeeding tomorrow you actually regressed from your previous days standard.

--- Quote from: Primo on March 12, 2024, 04:56:56 AM ---I have never met anyone that has said they were wiser at 16 than they were at 40. While it was more innocent and I had less responsibility in my high school years, I did not grow up in a situation that was ideal. Poverty is stressful and I was pretty much having to fend for myself at that age which is not something for the faint of heart. It was hard.

That being said, hard times are supposed to build character when the energy produced from them is turned into a positive direction. You can either play victim to the hard times or use them as a chip on your shoulder.

Those hard times made me into a resilient and decently successful person. You are only a victim to your own mindset. You are supposed to continuously grow as a person. That's the entire point.

--- End quote ---

Supposed to.. supposedly… but in reality people regress.

You just said it yourself, when you were 16 you were facing many challenges so you had to be strong but now your life is set and you are becoming weaker as a result.  So the you now is actually weaker than the one facing resistance at 16.

It’s like Snoop—when he was in the hood at 16 that’s when he became the Snoop we all ended up being fans of when he was just hustlin’ trying to make it and facing all the resistance.  Now he sits around in every interview blaming the media for East/West war and saying how he was young and stupid back then and learned from his mistakes—when in reality the reason he became great and beloved by so many is not because of the supposedly “wise” man he is now but because of his 16 year old self that was truly great.

100% agree.  I think his life is pretty terrible now.  Maybe his parents coddled him at 16 and he had everything in life he ever wanted, and now that he's out on his own and has to work for everything, he isn't reaping the rewards because the work isn't there.  So from his perspective, his life was so much better at 16.  Poor choices = poor life.  When you're 16, the results of your poor choices don't manifest until later in life.

Having sex with a hot girl you met at the bar.  Great idea.  9 months later when that kid pops out now you think "Man my life sucks, it was so much better a year ago"  Again, because of poor choices.
