it actually happens all the time.  Like, lets say I'm in a place where I'm the only white guy and I see another white guy.  I think, "oh, he will probably want to say hi" or in a place where I'm the only American, or in a place where I'm the only hip-hop head, or back in the day like if I was in a place where I was the only Muslim, or now like somewhere where I'm the only flat earther, or Libertarian, or Trumper, or anti-vxx, or whatever the case may be...

you think, oh, well this person would want to say hi since we have something in common amongst all these normies

...but no.  Most of the time it doesn't really work like that.

he’s interacted with me quite a few times lol

he once went on a whole “kikes!” tirade on here against me
