Does Anyone Believe In One God, Many Cultures?
« on: August 21, 2024, 05:53:37 PM »
I've studied religion a little
From Judaism to Christianity to Islam to Buddhism to Celtic Lore to Hinduism and the like
I've looked into Hoodoo, Voudou and Wicca
I'm starting to believe,  with all the aberrations in fellowship and belief according to custom and culture that the one true universal belief is that THERE IS a higher power,  we just interpret and manifest differently
We look different and many cultures fashion our God/s in our own image,  sometimes to the point of corruption
But we still have this innate spiritual belief
Animist believe in the spirit of animal and plant life
Native Americans and Mesoamericans and Egyptian cultures believe in the spirit of the sun
But we all believe in this spiritual entity

I come from an atheist family but I practice witchcraft on occasion,  borrowing from a plethora of cultural beliefs
I find value in my Celtic heritage
I use Islamic and Christian psalms and prayer in my magic
I read the Quran and New Testament and Tanach
I've had shrines dedicated to Ganesh

I find value in prayer as a means of manifestation and solace and gratitude

Anyone feel the same or differently?
