A lot of the great talent Dr Dre would have been able to draw from previously, now have a better advantage that they didn't have back in the 90's or early 2000's, where they can showcase their music on Soundcloud, YouTube, Instagram, and all these other platforms. Aspiring producers will have already had a lot of documented evidence of their sound, making it difficult for many majors to exploit to the point where they're deprived of 'credit'. Unless they're willing to take a massive hit on the profit margin and get some other talent in, the album probably isn't going to be that good. I've not listened to that Compton compilation since the few weeks / months after it was released
