« on: May 24, 2003, 10:24:55 PM »
I read this interview at Baller Status, and TQ said his new album is gonna be more like the same old r&b, and to me this is nit good news.  I'll still cop the lp cuz i been waiting a long time, but i hope he gives us the same type of material he gave us on the first two.......heres a link to the article:

nice looking out ;D i'd give you props if i had 500 posts ;)

more and more i start to think 'gemini' could be even better than 'they never saw me coming'. why? because he says things like this

it's more of a throw back RN'B record as compared to "The Second Coming", but uh I think I did a really good job that people are really gonna appreciate.

I'm loving it! I feel like I really got a family now, that's 100% behind me, 100% into my music, into my record and umm they are gonna put their best foot forward to make sure this thing blows up.

Who is handling production? Primarly Mannie Fresh. ===> listen to 'gimme some'. that's basically a tq f/ big tymers song. it's brilliant.

also, check out an intervieq with tq from 2 days ago @ http://musicsnippet.com/Interviews/tq/index.html

I am really looking forward to this album cause I can see it being real dope.

That 'Keep It On The Low' track is dope as hell from the snippit that I have heard, my only real worry being that it maybe isn't going to get as much radio play as it might have done because Ginuwine still has that track out produced by R Kelly and featuring Baby, and I don't know whether TQ's track may be seen as trying to cash in on exactly the same formula and therefore may seem a little played out. As long as the video is a lot different then I think it will be alright for tv but I'm not sure about the radio.

IMO, the new track sound too much R Kelly. That's not necessarily bad, Kel is dope, but TQ has got his own style. I feel he's betrayed all the shit he was reppin befo. Lots of stories I've read of how he got out of a label cuz they wanted to water down his lyrics or change his style, befo he released TNSMC, and he said fuck y'all until he found a home that let him drop what he wanted to drop. He gained success with that, and a solid fan base, and now that he aint got nuttn holding him back, he decides to change his style up and forget tha west shit. Aaight then. I dont see Tq blowin up. I hope I am wrong cuz I love the kid, and I am a fan...but this album is not what I would expect from TQ.

This is just my opinion, I know many of you are diggin his Cash Money style. I aint. Please respect.
