No that Jay-Z line is way different because Eminem was showing the whole world the skeletons in his closet which is a totally different endeavor than what Jay-Z and most rappers do

he didn't show shit, we already knew that well before mmlp came out .. in that instance he was using it for a cool multi-syllable shock value rhyme ...


some cats might even say talkin bout killin your wife n hating your mom over n over is "childish whiteboy shit" and that jay-z's shit is more real because it's "relatable, real life shit"


i'm not sayin that myself ... but there's nothing introspective about the song "remember me" and a few lines repeating the stigma of him hating his family once again doesn't change that.

I can't believe you don't see the difference in what Eminem was doing exposing all the skeletons in his closet, a cathartic exorcism of inner demons, ghosts, guilt and insecurities and uncomfortable criticisms

...it was groundbreaking and had never been done before and you are comparing some Jay-Z line where Jay-Z says "I'm cool"

..you're being ridiculous now, you got some great points with the Relapse album but way off on MMLP
