DAZ DILLINGER - RETALIATION, REVENGE & GETBACK 3 (Official Discussion)
bd94s10:
6 am ET this morning I put it on leaving my house. I have a nice system in my vehicle. I just couldn't .. then a bit ago I skimmed through it with my AirPod Pros. To me it does not sound good. I'll leave it at that. Just my opinion. I won't revisit it. I've been slowly not listening to Daz's music for a very long time.
One thing I thought was hilarious .... a couple weeks back on Instagram I saw someone comment on Daz's post . They said WAWG (Dogg Pound) album was wack... Daz chimed in on it.. (see below)... didn't defend the album or say he was thankful for Snoop for dropping it... or thankful to be putting out new music... or thankful for the fans he supported the effort.. his response was - wasn't produced by Daz and some emoji after it. Like so your wiling to accept a fan's trashing of an album you were on... in your group... that YOU rapped on... back on death row... and you respond with that...

Maybe I just go into Daz solo albums with incredibly low expectations (I do), but this pleasantly surprised me.
The first 5-7 songs are especially dope. Tails off near the end, but it's definitely not Daz worst solo album like some of you are suggesting. Stellar project.
astra4322:
Not bad at all. Mastering and mixing isn’t worse than his last two albums imo.
gfunk2024:
it is far from spectacular, but certainly not his worst album ever. Kind of repetitive, but there are some good songs.

Been done with Daz as a rapper long time ago but always still have expectations for him as a dope producer but the lack of effort is clear to see.
For someone that's considered one of the best Westcoast Producers from the 90's, we should be expecting certain standard when it comes to producing music.
I might be wrong but I don't think he actually really cares about music anymore, probably just doing for quick coins
