of course he does.

eminem works like a white collar worker. he comes to the studio everyday (except of weekend) 9 am, he gives a break for lunch and leaves at 7 pm.

he really does that and he always produce tracks.

yeah, they always announce these like it's big news or a press release... but pretty much every rapper is recording music.  Dre's recording music, Snoop's recording music, Eminem is recording music, Nas is recording music.  It's like if Michael Jordan goes out and shoots some hoops in the backyard, you don't announce, "Oh my god, Jordan is playing basketball again!!"

It's just a matter of when the get a collection of enough good songs—then at that point they start the process of compiling those songs into an album.
